Course Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, you should be able to:

    • Describe how the BLM Screening Process is used to determine the level of NEPA analysis and documentation for a proposed action.
    • Determine if a proposed action is in conformance with the land use plan.
    • Determine if existing NEPA analysis is adequate for a new proposed action (DNA process).
    • Determine the level and type of public involvement that is appropriate for a proposed action.
    • Identify the additional information needed for BLM NEPA documents and the purpose of the information.
